Surfing waves is always exciting, but seeing these guys discover them here, in my own country, makes it even more special. These are the kind of waves I used to see only in other places, and now they’re right here in El Salvador. It’s not just about chasing swells these coastline still has so much to be discovered.
They might not be the surfers I grew up admiring like those from The September Sessions: Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, and Shane Dorian. And if you haven’t seen that documentary yet, I really recommend it directed by one of the best, Jack Johnson, who’s not only passionate about surfing but also has an amazing way of capturing emotion through film and music.
That said, I really enjoyed this video. It has a different vibe, but it’s great to see these guys exploring El Salvador a country full of good waves, beautiful spots, and friendly people.
